Accessibility
Using this website
We want everyone to be able to read our menu, find us and place an order. If any part of this site gets in your way, tell us and we will fix it.
What we aim for
This site is built to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the standard United States courts and the Department of Justice use as the benchmark for websites. There is no official government certification for web accessibility, so nobody can hand us a seal — what we can do is test against the standard, publish what we found, and keep fixing what falls short.
What is in place
- Every part of the site works with a keyboard alone, including the dish photos and the enlarged photo view. Focus is always visible.
- All text meets or exceeds the required contrast against its background.
- The page works down to a 320 pixel screen and at 200% text size without content being cut off or needing sideways scrolling.
- Every image has a text description. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers rather than announced as clutter.
- Landmarks, headings and a skip link let screen reader users move around without reading through everything.
- The scrolling banner has a pause button, and all animation stops automatically if your device is set to reduce motion.
- Tap targets are at least 24 pixels, and the site sets no cookies and runs no tracking.
What we know is not finished
Being straight about the gaps is more useful than claiming there are none.
- Our testing so far has been automated checks plus manual keyboard testing. We have not yet completed a full pass with a screen reader such as NVDA or VoiceOver, so there may be wording that is clear on screen but confusing when read aloud.
- Online ordering happens on Toast, and reviews on Google. Those are separate sites we do not build or control, and their accessibility is theirs. If you have trouble ordering online, please call us instead — that route always works.
Tell us if something does not work
If you hit a barrier on this site, we want to hear about it, and we will help you get what you needed in the meantime — by phone, straight away.
We answer during opening hours, every day from 11am to 9pm. Please tell us what page you were on and what happened. We aim to respond to accessibility reports within five business days.
